The Union of Winemaking Cooperatives of Samos set foot in the challenging – in various ways – market of China, overcoming a maze of procedural issues and bureaucratic obstructions. The leading role in surpassing these obstacles played the importer of the Union’s wines in China, Atlas Export-Import, and this was accomplished in record-breaking time. It all started in September 2008. Two and a half months later, an important quantity of the Union’s bottled wine began a journey with destination the up-and-coming and highly interesting wine market of China.
