Title: Sweet and dry vintages 2010 – ratings at eRobertParker.com
“…mingling richness, sweetness and acidity into a beautiful whole” and “…always distinctive…very crisp and very bright this year…considerable energy on the finish….”. These are some of the descriptions for the Samos Vin Doux 2010 and High Peaks (Psiles Korfes) 2010, respectively, mentioned at eRobertParker.com, the website of one of the most famous wine critics in the world, Mr. Robert Parker. More specifically, Mr. Mark Squires, Mr. Parker’s right hand and also a great wine critic, being responsible for the Greek vineyard, tasted and commented on the above wines in a very positive way. The comments were accompanied by ratings of 90 for the sweet vin de liqueur Samos Vin Doux 2010 and 88 for the white dry High Peaks 2010. This is not the first time that the wines of the UWC SAMOS have acquired high ratings by the specific wine critic, which proves once more not only the consistency in quality and winemaking but also the dynamic character of the white small-berried Muscat which is cultivated with great care and knowledge on the island of Samos. Each of these two wines of the UWC SAMOS are basic labels-ambassadors of the two main categories produced on the island of Pythagoras, sweet and dry. After all, it is not by coincidence that the USA, China, Japan and most of the European countries give a warm welcome to these two wines due to, among other reasons, the exceptional quality price ratio that they offer.
