Our facilities

Winery facilities

The Samos Winery combines the island's long-standing viticultural tradition with modern winemaking methods and technology. In modern Winery Facilities High quality wines are produced from White Muscat of Samos, while a special wine production unit was recently created «"mild oenological intervention"» (natural wines). The winemaking processes follow international standards under the supervision of the Cooperative's scientific oenological team, in all phases of the production process (reception, sorting, vinification, aging and bottling).

A wide range of wines is produced, including dry, semi-dry and sweet Muscat wines, in accordance with modern trends in global winemaking. High quality standards and certifications are maintained, such as ISO, HACCP and FSC, ensuring the authenticity and consistent quality of Samian wines.

Samian Wine Museum

The Wine Museum of the Samos Wine Cooperative is housed in a magnificent 19th century stone building, which operated before the establishment of the Cooperative as a wine warehouse and later as a cooperage. It was converted into a Museum in 2005 and since then has hosted elements that define Samian wine: From the mountain vineyards and terraces, manual labor, the harvest and the wine press, winemaking and aging to the large wooden wine tanks of the last century, collectible bottles, old photographs and production records, cooperage utensils and tools, old winemaking machinery as well as a series of awards and distinctions, are among the exhibits.

Its layout, the result of modern museum science, takes the visitor on a journey through the traditional viticulture of Samos. It describes through exhibits the entire historical, social and cultural journey of Samian wine.

Traditional winemaking, tools, tanks, chemical instruments, barrel making, come to life through exhibits that go back over a century. Of particular interest is the natural representation of the cultivation of vines on dry stone terraces. The huge wooden tanks, among the most impressive exhibits, were in use until a few decades ago.

The Wine Museum is open to the public and wine tastings are also held. There is also a fully equipped conference room.
